What is the AllMalaysian Bloggers Project?
The AllMalaysian Bloggers Project, or AMBP for short, is managed by the dedicated team behind both The Star Online and AllMalaysia.info websites, the very same folks who bring you the news daily, and provide you with information at your fingertips.
The objective of this little project is to gather most, if not all Malaysian blogs under one umbrella site from which (potential) readers can find the various blogs by theme. Also, we aim to bring the blogging community together by organising various projects both online and in the real world, where you don't need to have an avatar to represent you. ;-)
Who is it for?
Malaysian bloggers. It doesn't matter where you are, but if you're a Malaysian and you blog, then you fit the bill. Your blog can be about anything - as long as it's not subversive, pornographic or in, er, bad taste. As such, your blogs will be subjected to approval before you can find it on our listing.
Is language one of the criteria for blog approvals?
Yes. At present, we will only approve blogs that are written in either English or Bahasa Malaysia.
How do I submit my blog?
First and foremost, you'll have to be a MyStar member. If you're not, please register (https://mystar.com.my/registration/); it's free. With a MyStar membership, you'll have access to all of The Star Online's personalised services (http://mystar.com.my/).
To submit your blog, you'll have to log in with your MyStar ID on the AMBP Homepage (http://allmalaysia.info/ambp/), then simply fill in the details in the online form on the Blog Submission page.
We require the following:
1. A thumbnail of your blog (resolution: 230x173)
2. Your blogging name (online nickname or pseudonym)
3. A short description of your blog, preferably not more than 25 words.
4. URL
5. Tags: Simply choose the tags that best describe your blog.
How can I edit my 'blog profile'?
Simply click on the 'Submit/Edit your blog(s)' button at the top of the AMBP Homepage (http://allmalaysia.info/ambp/), i.e log in with your MyStar ID, to edit your 'blog profile'.
How can I delete my blog(s) from the AMBP directory?
To delete a blog you'll have to contact us via e-mail at ambp@mail.allmalaysia.info, informing us which blog or blogs you intend to remove from our directory. Naturally, we would ask you to show proof of (blog) ownership, before we proceed with the necessary action.
Why should I submit, again?
You mean apart from the free publicity?
Well, think about it this way: we provide you with a platform to reach out to a wider audience but we will be needing your help to do so. By signing up, you're making this the place to be as a blogger, effectually telling our readers (in fact, any blog readers) that if they're looking for a Malaysian blog, they'll find it here.
Then of course, there's the little fact that we have the resources to get a project off the ground - everything from contests to parties to charity events. Even better, we listen to you; let us know what you want us to do, and if your request is reasonable, we'll try our best to make it happen.
