Kites, brickbats and bouquets

Evening all. Just want to say a big thank you to all of you who took part in the Kite Runner Contest, especially for the brickbats and bouquets, and excellent suggestions that came with your participation. Your feedback will go a long way in helping us shape and improve the AMBP.

I promise I'll answer all your queries in as frank a manner as possible, and push for the changes you've asked. Look out for my next few posts, where I'll let you in on how things are done here on the 7^th Floor of The Star building - the so-called 'Tech Zone'; on what AMBP projects are in the pipeline; and on the changes you can expect to see here in the coming few months.

But that's for another day 'cos I really have to run now.

So again, a quick thank you and congrats to the winners! To collect your tickets come look for us on the 7th Floor of Menara Star, Phileo Damansara II before the screening date. Trust me on this, you wouldn't want to be queuing up on the day of the screening itself. Well you could, but like I said, you wouldn't want to.

Also, do let us know if you can't collect the tickets prior to the screening, or can't make the date at all. We hate to waste a seat to a good movie. :-)

Menara Star is it the one next to Eastin hotel?

Dear AMBP team,

Dude? Always have a problem with this word. Always thought it is some kind of derogatory term a cowboy give to someone of whom he has no high regards. But how ignorant can one be. Every now and than, I get addressed as Dude, but from the context, it definitely was not meant as a derogatory term.

Enough of my babbling. Now to the real business (after I have collected my 4 tickets). Is it safe to link to this page? For theStar online, it is not for one fine day, the article gets into the archinves and I often wonder what happen to a live link. 404?

Search engines hate dead links. so do I, but if safe, I would like to link this site in one (if you up the offer to 8 tickess, mmmm, or maybe a bit over 4 will do), you get an active link from PageRank 6 and PageRank 4 blogs.

yes, of course. and don't worry - no hassle at all. don't be late tho - the screening is on a friday night, and you know how it is at the cinemas every end of a working week. we'll open our little booth next to the cinema entrance/escalator at about 7.30pm. congrats again! see u there!

since u are opening a small booth at 730pm at 1 Utama, can i collect it at the cinema then? but i may not be able to reach there as my office is at jln ampang. i'm bringing my kids along (aged 5 and 9- hopefully they can enter to view the movie).

The movie was great.. I hope that there are more in the future... :)
Anyway, I think that, in life,there is always a balance..like ying yang sort of thing.. Whatever we do in the present will always be 'repaid' in the future..regardless of how its going to happen.. Its a very ironic movie..but the ending was nice..
