Fireflies dot the mangrove swamps at Kampung Kuantan

There is a small community of people living just outside Kuala Selangor in a tiny place called Kampung Kuantan. Despite its subtle outlook, Kampung Kuantan is actually home to one of the largest firefly colonies in the world!

In order for tourists to enjoy this wonder of nature, night tours have been set up where boats can be hired at the jetty or at the handicraft complex. Upon renting a boat, you will also be given a lifejacket. Simply hop on the boat and allow the skilled local boatmen bring you on an awe-inspiring journey.

The incandescent glow of thousands of fireflies will remain in your memory for years to come!
