Malaysia Tourism Complex (MTC)

A typical colonial-style building, the Malaysia Tourism Center (MTC) is a building with many historical memories and of much signifiance.

Its main building was put up in 1935 and served as home to Eu Tong Seng, a wealthy miner and planter. After several changes of occupant, the building survived through World War II and the Japanese Occupation.

Later on, new wings were added to the building. Previously, it was known as the Malaysia Tourist Information Complex (Matic) but the name was changed to its current one on Feb 16, 2001.

There are many facilities available to tourists here. Amongst them: a 24-hour tourist information centre, a Tourist Police counter, a Transnasional executive coach counter, a counter for booking domestic tour packages, a lounge, moneychanger, ATMs, cultural shows, traditional games, batik demonstrations, access to tourism websites, and a Malaysia Truly Asia video presentation.
