The Serendah International Orchid Park is the perfect getaway for avid gardeners in dire need of a few hours of peace and quiet surrounded by beautiful flowers.
There are over 100 varieties of orchids most of which are hybrid varieties, which are imported and grown on hillside terraces.

How to get there
The park is about 45km from the city and is easily reached via the North-South Highway by exiting at Rawang and connecting to the old KL-Ipoh highway.
Head north towards Ipoh until you spot the Serendah Golf Course on your right, and turn right at the park signboard.
This route should not take more than an hour and a half.
Those in the mood for a more scenic route can opt to take the KL-Ipoh Highway right out of the city and enjoy the long winding roads leading to the park.
Lorry traffic is heavy, though, and those considering a nice long drive should push off earlier in the day.
